In Iraq, the movement that means “stop” means “hello”, and the movement that means “thank you” is actually a curse

In the US I have seen people use the stop gesture for both thank you and stop. When I want to say thank you. I bow my head and put my hand out with a huge smile.

I love being Korean. Now I can randomly say "Bruung Bruung" without reason

In the part I'm living in America I know if you put your hand up when your driving or walking across the street it means thank you. Example: No one's letting me cross the street but one car finally stops and let's me go. As I walked across the street I would put my arm/hand up to say thank you.
