Hi thanks while that solved the problem it does not say why it suddenly started happening. A fresh installation to a new directory in the domain used to allow fresh installations without error. Now, quite suddenly it reports an error of an existing user in a folder that did not exist and should have absolutely no "knowledge" of. Any idea why this is suddenly happening as of a week ago with no change to anything on my setup? I should not have to delete prior installations I am using as a testbed to work around something that should not be happening in the first place..

I uninstalled as you say, and still get the same error message, when I go to install. I go to see my installations and it shows 2 none of which are WP. I checked DB and files no WP anywhere but it still won't install.

Great tutorial. However when I click on the top left on Softaculous name I get an overview with all the apps to install. What is already installed is not showing like you show in the tutorial. I have 2 wordpress installations but can't delete them the way you are showing. Is there another way to remove a wordpress installation through the software? Thank you in advance

Those who are still having issue of error already installed, its because you have added domain incorrectly to cpanel > domains section.

you need to uncheck root option while adding domain so it can be added as addon.
