Parkland Shooter Defense Files Motion to Remove Judge from Case

The Parkland school shooter defense team filed a motion Friday to remove Judge Elizabeth Scherer from the case after Judge Scherer reprimanded the defense for resting their case without warning.

I saw this coming from a mile away. The defense has been planning all of this crap from the start.

Good for the judge, she had enough of the attorneys' nonsense, and so has everyone else watching this trial. And, NO she should not disqualify herself.

It's about time she cleared the air! She had every right to say what she did. She should NOT disqualify herself. She did nothing wrong. I'm surprised the lawyers that have been interviewed haven't said more about how the defence deserved to be reprimanded. They were playing dirty!!!

Yes, they need to show all the times the defense attorney was slamming things and ripping headphones off when the Judge was talking!!!! Who the heck does this Defense Attorney think she is. She needs to be called out and clearly set straight in front of everyone

It's perplexing for me to think that choosing between the life or death penalty is "...not an easy decision..." according to the reporter for someone who killed 17 people.

This judge does a great job. Reason they want her gone is because she's not taking their BS. Also, by having her removed, they'll need to get a re-trial, which just buys more time as they know Cruz will get the chair.

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen an attorney address a judge or address open court while sitting down. The defense attorney has so little respect for the judge that she didn’t even bother to stand up to make her rebuttal.
