A while back, I made a video that ended up a lot sadder than I wanted it to be. And because of that absolute emotional upheaval, I feel like writing some true fluff. And what better way to write fluff than to give Itachi some of the things he was denied in canon. What if Itachi never got sick? What if Itachi never had to kill his clan? What if Shisui survived? Itachi was a tragic character written to prove a point about the sacrifices people need to make for freedom. Some people have to do things that make them not sleep well at night just so YOU CAN sleep well. But uh… That’s a real bummer, and I think Itachi deserves a break after everything that’s happened. Let’s see a world where he is given every opportunity. Let’s see if he still chooses to be selfless and give it all up for others.
