How cow, this took me about 7 hours of tinkering and sculpting to finally put together but it was so worth it in the end. The first few steps were by far the hardest and the only way I learned it was by feeling the magnets out after screwing up about a hundred times. Bravo, sir, this was a great tutorial.

Dude, I built with these for a couple good years. Earned myself many 1000's from Zen (Thanks Zen) and made what I thought was some cool shit. Took a little break and with the lawsuit crap over I'm thinking of delving back in and found this. I will sum this up in one word "A totally amazing and fucking genius build".
You don't need to talk, but the sound of the magnets doing their thing makes these videos even more magical. Dead silence is hard to watch (I know that makes no sense, but you know what I mean)

Incredible! Just made it. This definitely tests your patience... The first bit (literally just starting) was the hardest, I had to massage the ball in the right place). After that it's quite straight forward, with just the 3 large poles coming together being a little tricky. Thanks!

SUCCESS!! That scrunch move at 0:14 gives me a bunch of trouble.. and I had to re-play roughly 0:20 - 1:10 countless times before I figured out what was going on. Heh, even still those first few layers give me troubles.. everything after that was pretty much smooth sailing.


Thanks for this. I saw a picture of this shape on the web somewhere and wanted to build it.. I tried to figure it out from scratch and wasn't making much headway (I just don't have nearly enough experience yet to do that). I never would have stumbled into this technique. I was totally going about it the wrong way.

I really love ur tutorials, especially that it makes them look simple and allows me to repeat ur creations while enlarging them, tried going 9 dots wide to see how it scales, and it scales very well and very easy, next step: 15 dots wide ! 😁

I've got my paychecks planned out until about Christmas time. Around then I'll hopefully be able to get about 10 or 11 more sets. The 2 sets that I have are fun and all but not much to do. Good video as always m8.

I've tried the beginning step at least 20 times now and the structure just collapses every time. I've even tried the other method of making the starter, and it just won't work. What could I be doing wrong?

1. Why do you need to build such that the extra magnets have to be added later?
2. What brand of soap do you use on your hands?

is there an alternative way to make the base shape at 0:15? i only have micro magnets and it's proving very tricky to fold them into that shape without crushing the whole thing. Btw, it's a beautiful creation :)
