Animated 3D models show the location of gold underground and present a conceptual project plan for gold mining as part of the Tomingley Gold Extension Project

Alkane has been producing gold at Tomingley Gold Operations (TGO) in NSW Australia since 2014. After a period of open cut mining at the Caloma and Wyoming deposits, underground mining commenced in 2019. Now TGO seeks to extend these operations to two newly defined resources (San Antonio and Roswell) immediately south of the existing mine.

This video uses 3D modelling and animation to illustrate the location of underground gold mineralisation in all four deposits. It also illustrates current and conceptual proposed mining activities, including open cuts, declines and drives/tunnels.

To develop the San Antonio and Roswell resources, Alkane will need to move a section of the Newell Highway and build additional waste rock emplacements. The video also presents a conceptual plan for these activities.

The Tomingley Gold Extension Project is a NSW State Significant Development (SSD), requiring rigorous environmental studies and consultation with the local community, stakeholder groups, industry regulators and government agencies.
