Welp, it has been a minute since I've done anything that would be remotely considered a new release but this came along and why the hell not. #Metallica #Drumcover of Screaming Suicide. When Lux Aeterna came out, I just figured there would be a slew of covers on that. When I heard this one, it had some F# action so that immediately got my attention. Only thing on a personal level is that it wasn't the #larsulrich I grew up with. That is TOTALLY understandable and more than a good thing. A band is supposed to evolve. But I mention that because I wanted to learn the structure and commit a good deal of what Lars had done (on this track) to memory. BUT, from there - I hit record and it's a one-taker after running it a few times where I expected to listen back and hear it push, lag, have imperfections and use different variations here and there. In short - I wanted to hear this track in my head with some version of Lars after 9 beers in the early 90's LOL!!!! As with ANY other Metallica track, there will be other creators that devote the proper amount of devotion to this. I'm not necessarily one of them but I hope you'll find a proper level of respect. For me, this is just a live jam type feel after I got this track under my belt. I hope you all are doing great and apologies for the unexpected week off (work and other crap).
