About Age of Aquarius:
The region of Epirus is famous for its landscape of mammoth mountains and holy rivers - and now experimental heavy rock. VILLAGERS OF IOANNINA CITY are deeply influenced by Greek nature and cosmic phenomena and infuse their unique brand of heavy psychedelic rock with folk instruments such as bagpipes, flutes and didgeridoos. Their second album, Age of Aquarius - originally released in September 2019 - will now be reissued by Napalm Records. Epirus may become the unlikely epicenter of the heavy rock universe: A mantra for the new age!

Οσο σκεφτομαι οτι οταν ξεκινησα να ακουω αυτη την μπαντα το 2014, μολις ειχε βγει Zvara/Karakolia, μαζευομασταν δεν μαζευομασταν 100-150 νοματαιοι σε φεστιβαλ ΤΕΙ Λαρισας.
Και εζησα την αξεχαστη στιγμη 15/2/2020 να βλεπω να γεμιζουν ενα ολοκληρο γηπεδο με χιλιαδες κοσμο.

Pristine production. Catchy guitar work. Strong vocal performance. Spiritual but not corny. Earthly in its traditional roots but also extraterrestrial in its futuristic lyrics, expression and execution. Reflecting the current zeitgeist as well – it's actually said that we indeed have entered the Age of Aquarius if you didn't know. The eponymous song is a freakin' hymn of uncompromising internal freedom if there ever was one and was also my personal hymn of the crazy 2k20 summer. Oftentimes I find myself carelessly yelling the lyrics along with the track playing at max volume haha.
Breathtaking. Badass. A future classic – from the artwork to the message to the music itself.
