Awesome, I’d like to get my stuff on tape. It’s definitely time consuming but sounds fun and it’s nice to make a physical copy of something

Thanks for this! I haven't released a cassette since 1995...this is inspiring. Looking forward to more great info!

I love this idea for a series. I’m buying some lathe cut records but they don’t come with a cover so hopefully I can get some ideas from this series on how to make one

I'd love to get my stuff on tape. Why not just use regular cassettes is there any specific reason why you have to order everything separately like the cases and j cards?

Very cool video. I preordered that tape as soon as it showed up in the Painted Blonde catalog. I would love to produce my own tapes.

I think I have about 25 cassettes that we had professionally made. I was talking with an ex-band member from those cassettes, I said we should give one away with our CD that we were going to release. He hates the songs on that tape so he doesn't want me to give them to anyone. Too bad, because they are just sitting in my studio. I'd rather share them.

I read an article about those good old super heavyweight TDK metal chrome cassettes. I guess there’s some surplus here and there, and they fetch about 50$ or more on eBay for one cassette if they’re new, NBRFOP, and I tell my dad about it. He smiled at me then showed me his stashed hoard of about 120 or so of these exact TDKs! He won’t let me touch them, flipping pack rat. I’m thinking that doing a really artsy, per cassette performance type limited release would be so much fun to do, just the same way that Daniel Johnston would do his album. Just call it ‘my demo tape’ and have a stamp or silkscreen for the insert. Maybe I ought to try something like this, I liked when you said that there’s a sort of nirvana that comes with it. Maybe a sort of ‘mandala’ cassette is a good way to try this?! It would have an end of the tape cut loose so that the tape becomes unplayable after the first time through the one side. Better yet a sort of ‘strike anywhere’ match head mechanism that ensures the tape is rendered unplayable once’s it hits that match head queue (maybe breaking the deck in same try?). This gives me some ideas I would love to try. THANKS FoR SHARING!!!

Great stuff man! Looking forward to the other episodes. Gonna do a tape release on my own label this year DIY style instead of the pro dubbed route. Keep up the good work!

my band buys a set of 10 blank tapes and when someone orders one, we print them and dub them and send em off! sometimes we will just dub a bunch of them at the beginning of the month instead

HI watched your video's i was getting the same on bricklink selling the crazy about the new late thing can be a right pain when i was selling LEGO parts i find out what they are looking for at the time

i am very lucky i got hold of pro cassette real time DUBBING set up as the man died of old age i mate gave me
some recordings that were done in reading rock they were all mono recording live gig's

i would never make cassettes that never sell it's the phones that is killing tapes MD as well
easy to hide a recorder up in a jacket in a gig i know alot about cassette can't make video's as i would up set
the young new lot out there

i have cassette tape filler otari dp2700 decks and pancake 1/8 tape so i can make cassettes to size of the gigs
no left over's at all
it's easy to use 1/4 full track heads to make real test tapes for 4 track recorders
