Join me as I reflect on the highlights (and a few disappointments) of this Christmas season at our little cottage and take a little tour of our Christmas decor.

This Christmas season didn't go exactly as I had hoped as we battled weeks of illness, but we still had the chance to do some fun projects, decorate our home, and most of all spend time together doing those things!

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry and Blessed Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year! Thank you so much for watching, following along, and subscribing - without you I'd just be talking to myself, and that would be kind of awkward... ;-)

I can relate to many of the things you said. I am considerably older than you, and I became disabled when I was only 43. Each year decorating, and wrapping all the gifts gets harder for me, and then there’s always the other obstacles that show up. I got my tree modestly decorated five days before Christmas! Normally I’d be discouraged right now, except I found a solution. I figured since it’s only my husband, and I we’d decorate the house for Christmas, and leave it that way all year!

Are you aware that you tube has a channel with burning fireplaces and soothing instrumental music. Yiu can put it on a tv, or a computer screen which is what I do in my kitchen. Looking at it will relax you. Also, this is the first time in 27 years that I did not decorate a tree. I got it assembled, lights on even though it said it would be pre lit, and a new topper. And then I ran out of energy. Christmas trees are another thing that relax me, so I have missed it. Loved the gingerbread houses and truck. I do not think you realize what a wonderful mother you are. Your children will always remember certain aspects of this Christmas.
