Glad I found this helpful video. This look didn’t make sense to me until I got the sickest I’ve ever been in life and dealt with lots of nasal drainage.

As small as they are, the hairs that grow in to your nose from the mustache area can cause a lot of redness, irritation and of course the dreaded booger catching. To be clear I’m not referring to your nose hairs. As far as I’m concerned you can wax those until the cows come home. If you’re blowing your nose you will still have problems keeping the gunk under control.

Anyway I was rubbing my nose raw with facial tissue. One day I decided to trim it like this man did his and virtually all the irritation went away. It was so much easier to blow my nose.

Eventually all the cold meds and antibiotics I was on kicked in and I gradually got better. But I stuck with the style.

So to bring my point home, don’t judge this style because you don’t like it. Everything can’t be for everyone. The look works for some ppl and (as I found out) actually has a practical purpose. It may not be natural or rugged enough for you. The only thing I’d say to that is I cannot picture any of you out in the woods living off the land while watching grooming videos on Youtube. So keep those relative terms in perspective here

whats the name (or brand) of that razor you use to trim your beard ? i feel like the one i got with plastic attachments never really gets all the hairs.

I called my self following these instructions and lining up my mustache and fucked up too the point I had to shave it all off. My problem was I pushed down too much
