In this presentation I will be attempting to answer the following question. How is acetyl coA formed within the matrix of mitochondria and transported out of the matrix and into the cytosol in preparation for fatty acid synthesis. More specifically I will be focusing on the citrate malate shuttle system and how it is linked to the Citric Acid Cycle.

Also malate in the cytosol can be converted to PYruvate (giving out an NADPH). And that pyruvate can go in thru a pyruvate transporter

This video is great. However, I cannot find a source on the citrate-malate shuttle. Could you please indicate where this is coming from

Do you have how malic acid/ malate is transport to the fruit . Which tissue (xylem / phloem) is transporting it?

Can malate change First from malate to pyrovate and than go to mitochondria

Why have the citrate-malate shuttle and a citrate-malate-pyruvate shuttle? Creating NADPH?
