When you are talking about the National Library of Chile, why are you showing the Rose Main Reading Room of the New York Public Library? That's a photo of Berlin, not Ulm
You said paintings, but I want to mention that the whole ceiling and tops of the end walls of the 3rd floor stair hall of the Boston Public Library is a giant mural by John Singer Sargent while the walls of the 2nd floor hall are by Pierre Puvis de Chavannes.

Thank you for this post! I love libraries and have visited the US Library of Congress and the Boston Public Library. I would love to visit the one in Prague and Austria someday. Here are some honorable mentions: the New York Public Library and the Rijksmuseum Research Library- I visited those as well.

Why El Ateneo in Buenos Aires, Argentina is not hereeee. Its literally the largest library in latinamerican. Its so beautiful, not to mention that its also a theater!
