@SquidLord actually there is a USB in AND out! That's where the memory stick can be added, the other is for direct computer connection

It includes Cubase, I'm still figuring it out for Ableton live... more news soon.

Actually, I DID get an Octa Capture! There's also a Quad, or now, Studio ( 12 ) if you want a different number of inputs. My thought on the R24 was - it's actually harder to use than a computer DAW, so what's the point? I also use a lot of MIDI instruments ( This Tenori, Electribes, etc. ) but there's no MIDI port on this. ( I prefer the earlier ZOOM MRS 8, which is easy to use, and has MIDI sync. Their concert recorders like the H2 are also great. )

Hmm, was that a Firewire port as well next to that USB plug? I'm not really surprised at the lack of MIDI out; the USB probably emulates it for your PC-based DAW, so there's not a huge number of places you might want to use it as an outboard control module, given better options.

@Vinvolve Konban wa! I might go there someday? But not now. It's an odd shape, yes (actually better than a regular wall wart! because it doesn't use up more than one space.) - but still a standard US plug.

@tahukosandip I have no knowledge of R16, I'm sorry! ;-) And I ended up selling my R24. Suggestion - do not post your email on YouTube etc, or people might spam your account
