The Beacon is a 16-story condo building in the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco. Built in 2003, this high-rise complex contains all the amenities you’d need both inside and outside the building, and it is steps from some of San Francisco’s most noteworthy landmarks, including the Embarcadero, Chase Center, Pier 70, Dog Patch, and downtown San Francisco.

NOTE--In 2008, the HOA sued the developer – Skidmore, Ownes and Merril--claiming that units had overheated because of defective ventilation and windows that allegedly violated state and local design standards, making the residences uninhabitable at times. The suit also alleged instances of water infiltration, structural cracks and other hazards. The suit made its way up to the Supreme Court in a landmark decision affirming potential liability by architects to homeowners in certain situations. The Defendants settled after the ruling.
