VW Emissions Scandal: Value Plunges After Revelations Of Cheating On U.S. Emissions Tests

Volkswagen admitted that they manipulated U.S. emissions tests and that some 11 million cars worldwide are affected. Volkswagen's cover was blown when an independent review by the International Council on Clean Transportation found higher levels of nitrogen-oxide emissions in a Jetta and Passat than are legally allowed.

The sad thing is some people are saying that the cars probably would have surpassed safety standards in most countries without this device so it has been all for nothing.

diseal fueled engines are impossible to meet new eu laws. The fine should be spent on alterative fuel technology, and tough emission regulations on VW just as an additional punishment.

If you want to debate about pollution, stop focusing in cars which can achieve 920 miles with one tank and start focusing on real polluters such as 7.3 L 4x4 heavy duty diesel trucks, Muscle cars, Sport cars, I mean to pick on a VW golf 4 cylinder is dumb & stupid
