I just recently learned how incredibly brave he was as a teen. Hollywood made him out to be a kook. With everything that came out in the past few years about Hollywood, I have a whole new respect for him!

God called me to homeschooling 13 years ago. I didn't understand why at that time. We didn't have a bad experience with the kindergarten my daughter went to. She just graduated last year. Today ITS CRYSTAL CLEAR why!! I'm so grateful that God put that urgency and direction on our hearts!!

We've moved our kids to home schoolling this year and it was the best decision we've made for our children. It helped that wife was already a stay home mom and went to college to be a teacher. So now our kids get the focus they need, and are able to complete a whole days of work in just 3hrs a day. Plus, we don't have to worry about mask issues or any indoctrination that schools are throwing at kids these days. We are a religious family and make sure to add in biblical lessons and prayer in their daily routine.

I was a public school teacher in the states before moving abroad (still teach at a private school) and in my experience, home schooled kids who started going to public school for some reason are better behaved in the classroom, better able to follow instruction, and produce better work/ score higher on tests than roughly 95% of their peers. I understand why people need schools and not all parents would make excellent home teachers. But it seems to me home schooling should be far more prevalent than it is if we want a more productive society

My two kids reaped the benefits of homeschooling for this same reason! Now one is a doctor and one is a research chemist! Both are still close to us in their late 20's. 👍❤️

I started homeschooling 4 years ago, he had experienced k-2 in public school and it took us almost 2 years to fall into a homeschool mindset and tear down the public school model of how schooling looks like. I struggled as well because I went to public school my whole childhood and that mentality was stuck in my brain, but we got it together and my son told me recently that he is glad he is homeschooled because he wasn't impacted negatively by the pandemic the way some of his friends were and there is more that he realized for one of the reasons he loves to be homeschooled.

My mom was a school teacher. When she started having kids, she just couldn't drop her brand new 6 week old off at day care, she decided to stay home and teach her herself! I'm so grateful to her and my dad for finding a way to make it work financially so that me and my siblings could ask be homeschooled. I loved it! Ace now I'm homecoming my own kids. ❤️
Kirk Cameron is right. It's ALL about the heart of your kids, and nurturing them into a compassionate, level headed and critically thinking adult.

I resisted my daughter wanting to homeschool our grandchildren until I heard my 3rd grade Grandson explaing Newtons Laws of Motion to his 5th grade Sister....and it was obvious that he understood them.
I am completely on board now.

I have a small boy and another on the way. I've gotten heavy criticism for wanting to home school, but the reasons I want to home school and the reasons others think I shouldn't, are worlds apart. People are worried that my children won't be socialized. In reality they will get the best of social interaction, devoid from perverse politics that have trickled into our school systems.

I grew up watching Kirk on Growing pains.. and years later I see he lives a wonderful life, following the word of God. He's an amazing person and he seems like an awesome dad 🙌🏼❤

Homeschooled kid here. I think I have a unique outlook on it because most of my 1st-10th grades were spent homeschooling. I wish I wasn’t. There was a lot of amazing things that my parents taught me, especially in elementary and the early part of middle school. However, I was really lacking when I entered high school, both academically and socially. My parents made the decision to experiment with me. My brother had graduated homeschooled fully since 3rd grade, but I was places into a Christian private school my junior year of high school. It was tough, I wasn’t always keeping up with the others in my grade, but I was allowed to grow in places that my parents didnt have the education to teach me (despite my mom having a masters degree) shortly after I graduated, my younger siblings were placed in a different Christian private school and my mom got a job teaching there as well. I can see tremendously how improved my siblings are socially and academically, a place where Incan only wish to be.

So yes, homeschooling is great! Especially for the younger ages K-6th or 7th, but I also see so much benefit in these Christian private schools that offer so much for the kids and so much freedom for the parents.

Homeschooling is the absolute best way to teach children these days. I was/am a single father, so I was limited. However, his sitter was absolutely awesome and helped out so much.
