The big boy is the pride of Cheyenne, before an excursion, they blast the whistle, you can hear it all over town. It’s just awesome. It’s normally kept in the roundhouse but the static display in Holiday park is really neat to see

Jim, someone asked about the GP50 which I just happened to receive my pre-order from Lombard hobbies and was shocked to find that contrary to the Athearn website when I order the locomotive, someone at Athearn changed the description to remove the wording about lighted number boards and ground lights. My model Athg65925 doesn’t have the prior described lighted number boards or ground lights! I talked to Jeff at Lombard and was advised that none of the new Athearn GP50 locomotives have them. Trainworld still has the old description so I want to know when the wording was changed and why wasn’t the dealers notified of the description error? Not a very good business practice to say the least

Sadly, the patched NS units were ‘’trail only’’ power while they were in service in their patched state. Luckily with a model RR, those rules don’t apply, you can set them up however you’d like.
