Fly Fishing the Most BEAUTIFUL Lake in the World??? (Trout Fishing)

This was seriously one of the most INCREDIBLE lakes I've ever fished.

While searching through google earth one night I saw something that looked out of place. A singular lake that appeared so blue that it stood out in the mountains like a soar thumb. I quickly research the lake looking for any info on it, but there wasn’t much. There were a few photos of the lake showing off something so stunning that it almost appeared fake and one single mention of the possibility of brook trout. So, after some planning, we set out in search of the lake with the hopes of finding some trout.

This was one of the most beautiful lakes I've ever seen and the hike was unreal. When we first got to the lake we thought it didn't have any fish in it... but then we got a glimmer of hope as Andrew caught a fish near the inlet to the lake. The fish was not a brook trout but rather a cutthroat trout of some sort. After fly fishing for some trout, we left the lake and hit some small creeks we had seen on the drive in that morning.

As we creek hopped we caught several really nice brook trout and found a few beaver ponds that were LOADED with fish. It was a day I won't soon forget.

Thanks for watching and please subscribe! We're only 1200 subs away from 50k!

In Colorado a couple weeks ago, caught a few cut-bows. At 63, I have to say the time we spent over 10, 000 feet totally gassed me! The altitude out there is no joke. Beautiful vid, and gorgeous fish.

I’ve hiked a lot in that mountain range, and I agree that’s the bluest lake I’ve been to. It is aptly named. There used to be large cutties in it and the other lake not far from it. It’s a dandy hike to get there. Fortunately even though I’m in my 60s I’m used to the altitude. You guys did great. I enjoyed the video.

Prettiest Brookies I've ever saw. Absolutely beautiful. I have a friend on vacation in Utah suffering altitude sickness. You did right to come down.

The most common element that creates such blue water is calcium. It is pretty ubiquitous in CO. This particular color is enhanced by one or a couple other minerals that can really destroy a trout fishery if not together with other minerals, so they are not getting mentioned here. Depth also contributes. Look at Crater Lake Oregon. That water is nearly just H20, but the great depth produces the color. Thanks for posting. This place is gorgeous, as are the fish!

What an unbelievably gorgeous area. I lived in Colorado for a year but wasn't into fishing back then - to my now regret! Wish I'd gotten out more into that kind of land. Just beautiful, thanks for taking us along. Some pretty fish!

Among your very best, guys. The species of that first catch was completely new to me. Spectacularly beautiful scenery. No-one could do more to promote the natural beauty of the States than yourselves.

I enjoyed this video a lot! That remote high beautifully blue lake…awesome. But even more beautiful were those decent sized brookies at times 9:40 and 11:20… oh my gosh…look those dark vivid colours! And the bite of the first one in that clear water …and the stunning surroundings…wow…what a marvellous fishing trip the two of you had…exploring new places and studying the variations between cutthroats and rainbows that occur up there in that fishing paradise. A bliss of a video.

Last month I got to fish Cabresto Lake near Taos, New Mexico. That lake was full of brook trout that looked like the ones in this video. The prettiest fish I’ve ever seen in my life. Can’t wait to get up to Colorado!!

Seen the short. Man such a magnificent find... Absolutely beautiful just to have the opportunity to be in such untouched location. Fish or no fish totally worth the trip I would hold my head high with a skunk that day any fish is just a bonus.

WHOA!🤯 Yeah, that lake looks just like lake Tahoe. Just BREATHTAKINGLY clear. As for the fish? They look like sumthin i was blessed with catchin some years ago and it was called at the time a Golden Trout. They were rumored to ONLY be found in higher elevations....but I digress, Great vid as always boyz🙂👍 and plz keep em comin. Peace ✌😎
