And, ... there's the 9th Amendment. which goes hand-in-hand with the 10th:
“Amendment IX: The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”

Foundations are so important. Here in S. Texas there's a lot of shifting ground and foundations weaken and crack. Quite an industry of foundation repair with all sorts of approaches. It is hard to repair a foundation once it cracks. Ours is cracked significantly but these types of messages are a critically important part of the foundation repair. Thanks for putting quality and interest into these quick yet important lessons. Off to share it!

I actually had a major argument with my boss, who is an atheist socialist. He continued to argue that the 10th Amendment is the most misread Amendment of all by conservatives and that it was meant to be a "living document" simply because it allowed for Amendments. He had no rebuttal when I replied that the Founders made it super hard to add an Amendment. Why do Socialists continue to bash America and say free market capitalism never works compared to big government control yet continue to live here instead of places like North Korea and Venezuela??

So when the 14th Amendment to the constitution was said to have applied the First Amendment to the states, how can those states claim "sovereignty" over the First Amendment and simply "not consent" to be sued for violations?

How would we go about restoring the 10th amendment? I for example, can't just ignore ATF regulations and tell them in court that they're unconstitutional. I'd just get prison time.

Very few of the American people do not know and or understand this the 10th Amendment. A lot of states are currently passing laws to override Federal over-reach and violate states rights: gun control, the right to try drugs not yet approved by FDA, legalize marijuana, and others. Please, stay informed it is one of your duties as an informed citizen. Keep the faith of our founders and stay strong. Thus every state can of its own authority nullify within its territory "all assumption of power by others"-ie., all perceived, violations of the Constitution by the federal government.

When did the People delegate the Government the power to make the 16th Amendment and how did that get in the Bill of Rights which is For the People Not the Government.
