We’re back for Episode 3 and I have to say, I’m loving the comments from you guys on these videos. Me and Watto are loving this new concept and it’s going to improve every week, so thanks for all watching and sharing your thoughts!

In this week’s ep, we took inspiration from the comments and we’re analysing a mistake of my own! This comes in Man United’s BIG 4-3 Derby win over Man City in 2009 and my error which allowed Craig Bellamy to score…

Tottenham’s Vicario has come under heat from set-pieces recently and we look at two goals he conceded against Arsenal in the North London Derby.

We look into Andre Onana and the penalty incident, Wes Foderingham being beaten by Alexander Isak and a sloppy bit of play with his feet from David Raya to allow Spurs to score.

There’s also some goalie love for Onana and England’s Jordan Pickford as they make TOP saves!!

Just to be very clear again…..We aren’t goalie bashing here, we’re just explaining what the goalie could have done differently and discuss if the outcome could’ve been different 🙌🏼

Still getting through the video but I'd like to thank Ben for bringing this type of content into youtube. Goalkeeping analysis tends to be given by non-goalkeepers that have no clue about what they are talking about and usually portraits us in not the most flattering of lights. Thanks for the great content! Up the fozcast

This series is absolute gold, no idea why GKs aren’t asked to do be on MOTD

Not even a keeper but love watching these insights. Not often I think to analyse keepers other than the errors everyone can see. Great pod lads, keep it up!

Ben Whites movement on the corner is perfect. Starts behind Vicario. Moves around to his front as Rice is stepping to the ball, starts his backup as the ball is struck and bumps into vicario just as he tries to read the flight of the ball. Then he is away from the scene before he can be called for offside once contact is made by Havertz. Just a beautiful timed choreographed move.

A little tip for corners wirh someone on you. Start right inside your net. As the taker is about to take the coner you move out. Either the attacker blocks you from inside the goal which the reff can see or he tries to engage you as you come out in which you have the momentum meaning you have an advantage

Love the analysis, breaking stuff down into the micro moments is exactly why i love goalkeeping. What you said at the end about footwork is spot on and i honestly think Jordan Pickford has the best footwork in the world at the moment. His ability to get around the 18box and across the goal line is unmatched in my opinion. I always bring up Pickford clips when I'm coaching youngsters to illustrate how much of an efffect footwork has on making saves

For the third Arsenal goal I think what it really highlights is Vicario's age. He hasn't masteted any of the 'Dark Arts' yet.

I think other Goalkeepers woukd have just toseed White out the way, held on to him to make sure he's offside, or even step into the contact as White runs in and make a huge fuss (he comes in a lot quicker then most players do). I'm not saying any of these things definitely would have actually done anything, but he doesn't seem to have any of that in his game.

Another great video. When I was watching the London derby and saw David Reya’s mistake I new it would be on keepers corner.

That’s amazing, guys!
So professional and useful information, even on professional lvl coaches close their eyes on such things, but that’s very important part how we(goalkeepers and coaches) can learn and develop our skills. Thank you!

Love this corner. Your last comment about feet to save was astonishingly similar to hitting volley in tennis. Footwork is everything. Thanks for such an interesting piece.

I can see an Emi Martinez or Pickford saving that Saka’s goal by doing exactly what u two said. Great analysis guys 👍

Loving this series lads, insightful as always! Not that I want to turn it into a Ben bashing segment, but would love to hear your thoughts on the Martial dink goal from 2020 scored against Ben when he was at Watford. In my uneducated view I wouldn't have thought there was much more that Ben could do and it's just exceptional play from Martial, but would love to hear an expert take on it.

absolute amazing series! Would love to hear you guys talk about Arijanet Muric! He has been amazing for burnley since he came in for Trafford. 7 Games: 2 Wins, 4 Draws and only 1 loss and in those 7 games he’s got about 3 or 4 MOTM awards. Hope to see some analysis about him next gameweek!
