100 Days in Russian Prison: Evan Gershkovich’s Family on His Detainment | WSJ

Since American Evan Gershkovich was detained in Russia, his family has written him letters and attended hearings in Moscow to try and keep the detained WSJ reporter’s spirits up.

They spoke to WSJ’s Shelby Holliday about the past 100 days. “We think about you every minute of every day,” Evan Gershkovich’s sister wrote in a letter to him.

The Wall Street Journal’s Evan Gershkovich was detained in Russia on March 29 while on a reporting trip and accused of spying, making him the first American journalist detained in Russia on espionage charges since the Cold War. The Journal vehemently denies the allegations against him and has called for his immediate release, as have President Biden and government and media leaders around the globe.
