LOL, I was thinking "That's a powerful cooling fan!"

I have one of these that I rescued from the dumpster. Our camera factory in Japan used their products.

Oh yeah kikusui i found one of theyr oscilloscopes for sale not long ago it is an old analog one but they made those as well apparently.

I have several of the PAD 330W series and I love them. Email Kikusui and ask for the service manual - they will require you to sign an NDA first but I have found them to me very nice people and quick to help.

@ 2:15 - "I always try to find documentation on something before I buy it." Wish I woulda done that before I bought a Xeigu G90. Its a cool little radio for the price point. The power switch transistor shorted. The radio can't be turned off. I would no longer recommend this radio.

Made in Taiwan is code for Made in China.. I worked with Taiwan companies back in the 90's and they were just shipping stuff from China to Taiwan. A lot of it was illegal and brought in boats.
I received my first bribe from a Taiwan contract electronics manufacture... they called me at my home # late at night and offered a bit of cash to make sure they got the deal. I didn't take it... it was $5 per board, we made in excess of 100, 000 boards... I should have taken the money as after getting the board into production the company I was working for decided they didn't need me around any more and fired me without cause.

Put some load and measure the ripple...

What's the switch by the power cord for?

A fun find. It looks like there is a switch on the back. What is that for? Thanks.

This might be interesting, are the transistors in parallel or in series? There are 4 of them. Are they of the same type?, can they handle 160V-200V? Maybe two of them stacked for the voltage and the other pair in parallel for the current.
Or they are the two arrangements for the voltages S1 and S2 below and above 90V?
