I am so excited that we're finally upgrading my 1965 Ford Falcon with a new digital instrument panel from Dakota Digital!! This thing is so cool! I can completely customize the layout, the colors, and it gives me SO MUCH information--a digital speedometer, oil pressure, battery charge, coolant temperature--it's AMAZING!

Thank you to Dakota Digital for the discount on this incredible panel!!

Also, a special thank you to my supporters on Patreon! If it was not for you guys, and your support, there is NO WAY I could have afforded this upgrade. Thank you all so much!!!

Dad's fulfilling his role perfectly. Teach, supervise, but don't jump in and do it for her. Good job Dad!

I keep opening this to jump to 13:13 and watch the beauty of its activation cycle...

I like the dash. It looks stock but is totally modern.

That really looks great. I like that it still keeps the original feel.

Ok, you made me go to their website to see if they had one for VW. Yes! 😀 But only for a Bug, not a Thing.🙁🤷‍♂️ on the bright side, it was fun watching your eyeballs pop out when you turned the key to see your “spaceship bridge” light up! 😃 Glad you’re having such a great time doing and learning!😄

Proud of her dad having her to do the work.

You would be staring at the panel instead of the road. Looks so cool like my new Kenwood digital radio.

Nice! I have to admit, I’m a little jealous.

I just did a Dakota Digital dash install. I wanted to keep the original for the nostalgia but it was in pretty rough shape and a reproduction speedometer and new lens would have cost probably 70% of the Dakota Digital setup without all the advantages. And let's be real, even when new, old technology gauges that are back-lit by incandescent bulbs just doesn't cut it today. All things considered, I think I like my Dakota Digital upgrade better than most anything I've done to my car yet. I actually enjoy just sitting in the seat and turning the key on so I can watch it spring to life.

Great video by the way!

This is amazing. I'd like to do something like this to my 65 Impala Wagon and my 68 Chevelle in the future. I'm doing an LS1 swap to my 65. And I'll have access to the LS computer. Want to figure out how to use a Monitor to display gauges and speedometer. I know I could use an OBDlink and some software. But have not done anything. Hopefully by next year. When I have some money saved up I can experiment. Great video.
