I've been following you for years Daum, it's impressive how much you know about diesels, and driving trucks. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Love the hair.😊

I still love the 7.3s and 6.0s we still have 3 of them we run everyday and they hang right there with the newer 6.7s just not as comfortable as the newer ones. Never was a fan of the 6.4 we honestly never had problems with them motor wise but traded it off before it did.

6.0 just does not have enough head Bolts for the cylinder pressure it makes. good motor if it gets ARP Studs soon enough and you give it alot of TLC.

Hi nikki and bobby, hope you all had fun at the auction, l havent gone to one in a long time because i all ways end up buying to much crap that i dont really need once in a while get something pretty good bought an end dump trailer and a big diesel generator i think the gen was military surplus but both worked out pretty good. wanted to wish you all a merry christmas and a super prosperous new year❤❤😊

same feeling on the auctions, i dont know if there are too many buyers but most of the time, when you account auction fee and taxes... it comes a lot more expensive than on Facebook marketplace... i remember auction were the place to get crazy deals, not anymore. although, sometime for really really big pieces or 600V equipments, can still be cheap. i still like to check the "inoperable" section so at least they dont give away stuff... i feel cheap as well lol

The flatbed will probably need some work on the engine before too many miles? Perhaps the engine pre heat needs to stay on before starting the engine?

The 6.0 or the 6.4 are just fine if they have been deleted. I had a 6.4 with 468, 000 miles that was deleted and running strong when I sold it.

I owned a 6.0 diesel 05 i bought it when it was over 100, 00 miles I spent near $10, 000 on it. All top engine work. The engine blocks are sound. I don't have the truck anymore but I do know it has over 400, 00 miles on it. The block is needing a rebuild, it has alot of blow-by between the piston rings, and cylinder walls. Important update is engine wire harness. Gets over looked with that many miles and the age the wires break down crack and corrosion works its way down the copper wires. Other updates: egr delete, standpipes, clean / shave heads at machine shop, injectors, glowplugs, buy the ipr valve, and icp sensor from Ford dealer only. Send the (ficm) that sits on driver side top of engine to get updated to handle more voltage, and a oil pan gasket. Thats the major work I had done. Engine works well with the edge tuner. Hope this helps..👍

I had a 2003 F250 CCLB 6.0. Went 89, 000 miles with no issues. One warranty claim for the fuel/water separator on the frame under drivers seat.
Traded that for 2008 F450 Lariat 6.4 which went 138, 000 miles on original brakes, replaced radiator at 102, 000.
Have not owned the scorpion

The biggest issue with Ford Diesels seems to be people who don’t want to take care of them or they feel like if it makes 330HP then 500 is way better.

I like that bed on that truck. Plenty of compartments and the crane looked good

Archoil is a game changer for the Ford 6.0. I use it still running same injectors.

I urge you to run, not walk, away from either a 6.0 or a 6.4 Ford engine. I once owned two Ford trucks, my first and my last. I paid for the truck twice, once to buy it, and again to keep it on the road. Never again will I have a Ford.

I had an 05 F450 with the 6.0.
It liked to spend time at the Ford garage.

Its a crank no start issue after warmup. Im almost 100%sure its a oil pressure problem hook it up to computer to check that your electrical censors and IPR valve are in there piramitirs i think there's 4-5 piramitirs that are very important to keep an eye on. Oil pressure is how this engine starts. The fuel injectors fire from oil pressure. Other Important areas to check with rubber or nylon orings are: IPR VALVE, also a (pipe) under the turbo plate top side of engine block. There's 2 stand pipes and 2 dumby plugs on the engine heads with seals on them as well. This is no joke of an engine to mess with if it ask for some TLC it's going to let you know. Its most certainly worth fixing. But be prepared for quality care and maintenance and money to spend on it. 👍 Its a good engine👍.
