Xi Jinping Dares Trump | Vantage with Palki Sharma

Chinese President Xi Jinping has launched a week-long diplomatic mission in South America, starting with the inauguration of the Chancay deep-water port in Peru. This $1.3 billion project, part of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, is a critical link in Xi’s modern maritime Silk Road. As Xi attends the APEC Summit in Lima and the G20 in Brazil, China is solidifying its role as the top trade partner in Latin America, surpassing the US. However, Washington is alarmed, with concerns over Chancay’s potential naval use. Protests in Peru add tension as global leaders converge.

China has all the rights to open the port or have missiles placed in the American continent. Russia also has such rights in response to American rights of missiles pointed at them in Europe or in Asia .
It is NOT AN ELITE PRIVILEGE OF AMERICA ALONE

Don't get worried with one port.

US has Quad, India, Taiwan, Japan, S Korea, and many others are targeting China.

Why does the Indian reporter reports the opening of the new Peruvian port as a challenge to Trump’s inauguration (stoking US anti China sentiments) when it has nothing to do with the USA and the opening was to coincide with the APEC 2024 meeting

That's a positive development; how can it be considered a threat or a challenge?
I don't know why you media people sometimes makes things sounds.
I believe you will not say the same if it was done by another country.
Please, leave China alone.
They don't give money or weapons to kill people.
For the country of Peru and it's people, this is development.
