Is multilevel marketing a cult? This video is the second half to a detailed survey I created and the results so far.

It this video, I provide the results for the questions on the survey aligned to Steven Hassan's BITE model. Hassan is an American mental health counselor specializing in destructive cults. Many in the anti-mlm space reference Hassan's BITE model when illustrating the various thought reform techniques multilevel marketing companies use.

When you are under the spell of multilevel marketing, you cannot imagine it to be anything other than the pathway to financial and time freedom. However, once you break away and are able to re-establish cricital thinking, in retrospect, you can recognize how you were manipulated and trapped in a believe system that operates outside reality.

Great work, Alanda! I believe this is an insightful contribution to the anti-MLM movement. On balance, I think the data confirms what most of us already know about people's experience with MLMs, but having data is invaluable and lends a lot of credibility to our opinions. I have to go watch your first video on the survey - I'm looking to know whether most of the respondents have quit MLM.

Thank you as always for this critical work you put out. I'm currently having the CryptoBros after me on Instagram thinking i don't see through the fronting and lies. Not sure if it's to join or what, but I'm not catching what they are pitching. I have a for sure good way to work as i want and getting there. I enjoy nursing and leaving for some shotty "company" goes against all the critical thinking skills that highlight the red flags super quick.
