Tried this yesterday on a lake that has been hard to get bites on the last few years . I had 3 bites and and caught all three. The smallest was just under 16 pounds and the biggest just over 17 pounds. The best afternoon/evenings fishing on the lake for years !

I’ve been using PVA bags for a long time now and found that if you wanna use whole boilies you can use crushed boilie and smaller pellets to fill all the gaps in the bag so it doesn’t end up all baggy.

I used the pva bag method over the weekend, first time carp fishing in six hours I had 2 bites, lost both of them .
Considering no one else even had a bite I'm really impressed with this method .
You make a really good point about putting the weight at the bottom and central in the bag .
I didn't and had some proper wonky casts as a result.
