How to Auto Run any Program as Admin on Startup in Windows 10 (Without Prompt!)

In this video I will show you how to auto run any software with administrator permissions on startup in Windows 10. I go through 2 separate ways of starting a program as admin automatically without prompt when you log on to Windows. The first way to autorun an app with admin privileges on startup in windows is to change the properties of the program file and check "run this program as an administrator" under the compatibility tab, then creating a shortcut for that file in your windows startup folder, and finally changing you windows user account control settings to never show prompts. The program will now run automatically as administrator as soon as you log in on windows. The second way to make an application open with admin permissions automatically on startup in windows is using the task scheduler. We open up task scheduler and create a new task to launch our software on logon with highest privileges. For the example in this video I'm going to be using my crypto currency mining software called t rex miner, but this should work for basically any type of software.

Just did this Seb. Setup my Cortana rig to now launch Afterburner and to run the bat as admin on startup thanks to your video. Never had an issue before absolute core clock since i never ran bats in admin. A quicker way to get to Startup programs: type RUN, "shell:startup" to jump to your startup folder.

HELPFUL TIP: When creating the action, don't give the full path to the bat/exe just put the name of the script/exe and then put the path in the "Start in" option below. This helped me bc I run my t-rex miner from the D: drive.

A couple tips to make this quicker. UAC settings can be accessed by quick searching "UAC" in windows search. Also the startup folder can be acceded by opening a run box and running "shell:startup"

Great content. I tried both of the ways. I decided to use a task scheduler. While creating a task to run a bat file, you need to add folder name before "folder/trex.exe" in the bat file.

Excellent Tutorial, just what I was looking for, because my 2 rigs shut down for 5 hours due to a general power outage, and when aut-restarting It would not autostart the miners .bat, even if I put it in administrator mode, this video solved my problem, thank you very much Seb! ✌😁
