I would like to know how to water them? Like fully soak the pot in water or maybe just a cup?

I just got a young Madagascar palm like the one in the video, and I transplanted it into a bigger pot right away and gave it a pretty good watering. I'm worried that I should've left it in its little pot that it came in, as I did research afterwards and found that they prefer a smaller pot. And I'm worried that I over watered it 😣 although it seems fine at the moment, it may have grown a bit... I'm just wondering if I should start over with it.

My Madagascar plant is about seven or 8 inches high and the trunk is turning orange do you know why?

I have one of these I got from an online vendor off of Etsy last year. It's about 6" tall altogether and in a "vented" terra cotta pot potted with cactus/succulent potting mix🪴. By vented, I mean the pot has open appox. 1" long x 1/4" slits on either side near the bottom. I'm a subscriber and great post. 🪴🌵

Just go one and im planing to use bonsai soil like i use with my adaniums instad of any king of dirt mix. Lava rock, pumice, akadama or clay and some wood chips. With this type of soil, i can have them out in Miami where it rains very frequent and there would be no root rot since all the water runs out immediately.
