Oh please not again! Lord Shiva doesn't mean destroyer, at the end of each cosmic eon "Rudhran" a form of lord Shiva destroys for the sake of balancing the Universe; by balancing the fundamental forces . Also Shiva is the one who employed Brahma & Vishnu to create & guard respectively

A small mistake
Barhma was cursed by Lord shiva to not be whorpshiped as much as vishnu because one day, vishnu and brahma were arguing about who was more powerful. Then suddenly, a massive shiv ling (a statue of shiva) amerge. Then both the gods challenge each other that if vishnu reached the bottom of the shiv ling faster than barhma could reach the top then vishnu was the better good and vice versa. At the end barhma lied that he reached the top which angered lord shiva who cursed him that he wouldn't be worhship in a very large scale
