Maria Zaloumis went from being a specialised nurse in Australia to a very successful tomato farmer in her native Zambia. She now employs more than 70 people from local communities enabling them to send their kids to school.

Very nice story. What comes to my mind is: why the workers work as employees in the tomatoes plantation? Before the lady came to plant tomatoes, didn’t they already grow the tomatoes? How is possible that the local community could not fill that gap in the market but the Maria could?
