You really start to appreciate how raw these two cars are when you see what manufacturers are bringing out these days.

RIP turbo lag, genuine engine noise and not through the speaker, key ignition and not and easy to steal keyless & a manual transmission

Guys, Subarus and Mitsubish are both good, so chill. There is no better or best, because if the driver can't drive a Subaru, the Mitsubishi wins easily, but if Mitsu druver can't drive the subaru wins easily. Both of them are Iconic Rally Cars with weak points.

I have the 06 WRX and I'm looking to buy an Evo 8 or 9. The WRX is more comfortable, sounds better, and has less road noise while the Evo has better steering feel, nicer seats, with a track ready engine and suspension. The WRX is fun the Evo is more serious. If I could I would keep both and it's sad how Mitsu sucks these days. I'm not crazy about the WRX/STI after 2007 either but at least they keep making it.

Le fameux match de 2 bêtes de plaisir.... En efficacité pure, je ne sais pas laquelle est la plus efficace, mais ça doit se valoir ! Par contre en termes de plaisir, c'est incomparable, la Lancer est un rêve... C'est pour cette raison que nombreux sont les possesseurs de Lancer qui ont eu des Sub alors que le contraire n'existe pas ;-) car pour fureter les petites routes qu'il fasse beau, qu'il pleuve ou qu'il neige quand tu as eu une Lancer tu ne veux plus rien d'autre...

thats all fine and dandy but most people who buy these cars mod them so at the end of the day stock for stock evo is better but both cars have alot of aftermarket support and that helps close the gap between them

I saw an Evo Wagon the other day. I’m a suby fan.. but they look awesome with their pumped guards. I think the wagon is an Evo 9?

The evo will always win on track. I prefer the Sti for road use tho.

Evo better at track driving, Subaru better for daily overall use.
But in Rally Subaru has many more medals.

I love evo vii's and I want one over an STi even.. but this was bias, the review does not mention anything good about the STi other then a 'cozy interior' ??

I love my rex. I don't care if the Mitsubishi is better. It's not what I want. I used to always drive my buddy's and it felt like crap inside. It had such a cheap feeling like an early to mid 90s Honda. Felt so plastic and flimsy. I couldn't live with the compromises. I mean, it doesn't even have the option to go double din stereo. I thought my Subaru had bad reliability. Try an Evo. He barely drove his Evo lol

I like how ppl put 'now put it up against a spec C' it's a regular EVO against a regular STI, if the impreza can't beat the EVO that then means it lost, it's the inferior car, sorry. That's how a comparison works, one car loses one car wins, EVO is the winner, STI is the loser....all clear?

This version of the Subaru can compare with seat leon cupra .both 225hp both 2.0L.also the wrx has smaller turbo than the evo here.smaller brakes with disks and lower horsepower.put in track the sti and an evo and we speak then.

You know you're grasping at straws when the only point you can give a performance car is "Oh, it's interior is much nicer." If you buy these cars for the interior, you're a fucking joke and not a true car enthusiast. You don't buy a car for how comfy it is, you buy it for the performance. From what I can see the Subaru does sound better than the Evo and is more reliable, but other than that it misses out on every point...including the price point.
