Greece's Prime Minister has hit back at criticism of the Greek coast guard's handling of a migrant boat tragedy earlier this week. He said the anger should be directed at people traffickers. The Greek coast guard is under pressure to explain why it did not help an overcrowded fishing boat with several hundred migrants on board before it sank, despite being in contact with the vessel.

Shift the blame shift the problem. Blame the countries they are leaving. Allot of these countries get billions in aid which NEVER goes to help the people.

No one in Tobruk noticed 700 - 750 people embarking on that vessel?
How was it not seen? It must have taken hours to get that many people on board ... it should never have been allowed to set off.

Don’t blame the Greek coast guard. Blame the smugglers that put them on those coffin ships.

The boat left from somewhere, the port of origin, why was this boat allowed to leave in spite of it being overloaded, and look at the Greek coast guard ship, do you think it can accommodate all the passengers, the coast guard from the port of origin is more to blame for letting the boat embark.

Perhaps the poor Greeks have had enough of immigrants. Germany has, and France, and everone!

When Greek coast guard tried to help the answer from the boat was: ''no help...go Italy'' So there is no reason that Greek coast guard should be under fire or under pressure and the rest is bull$hit.

Stop blaming others they only have themselves to blame for over loading the boat .

They did what they could do. Blame the criminals who load derelict ships with desperate people.

Why blame the Greek coast guards, they offered assistance, which was refused, they were not in Greek waters .

The ship was constantly refusing help from the Greek coast guard - it’s mission was to head to Italy they refused help multiple times. A cargo ship gave them food but they refused to cooperate with them. Smuggles re the one’s to blame

Why not try to cross the border of Qatar or Saudi Arabia?

Yeah, let's blame everyone except those on the boat. They knew the risk and were happy to accept it. It was allah's will

Question is why should they they didn't put them on the boat, they didn't tell them to come, they have done nothing wrong,

Their watch should be stopping any boat from comming in. Not to safeguard them to shore...so dumb
