Regula Research Station Flyby

This is a test animation of our High Res model of the Research Station Regula One, as seen in the movie "Star Trek - The wrath of Khan".

The station is fully textured and detailed. It´s probably the light and the compression of youtube that gives that impression - but the bottom half was done the same way as the top half.

Just for fun to see how the model looks in motion. I´m not sure where I will use it, probably for the SotL calendar or in Phase II.

@tlwtobiasrichter Perhaps you could convince the TNG remastered team to use it for 'The Measure of a Man' :) That would be awesome. Great work!

Any plans to retexture the bottom half of the station so it doesn't look so "animated"? The top half is outstanding.

We could have a station like this in orbit it would, of course, have no gravity of Star Trek but one could be built. It is just a matter of will finance.

Are you THE Tobias Richter who created all the awesome graphics that circulated back in the 1990s? I remember collecting a lot of really cool sci-fi art on my Amiga back in the days.
