Nobody will have to wait for extra 12 months after staying in the UK 10 years lawfully. According to the new appendix which came out April 2024, applicant should be in their current visa for 12 months on the date of application. That means, if anyone change their visa category, they will have to stay in the UK for 12 months on that visa to apply for ILR. If there is no change of visa category in the last 12 months, anyone can still apply 28 days before 10 years. Thanks.
