Pink Floyd Backing Track G Minor

So much positive feed back from the last pink floyd style track so I thought I would make another one :) This one's based on "The Great Gig in the Sky" and is in G minor. However, aside from the main section which uses the chords from the song, the rest of the track was written by me. Hope you enjoy it and, as always, I really appreciate all the support and comments! :D

Hi all,
I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for checking out this backing track. As of when this comment was written, it is the most viewed guitar backing track on youtube. A feat that frankly blows me away. I get messages and comments frequently asking whether the track can be used for a song etc. YES that is exactly what I made this for! This goes for any of my tracks! These have been created to inspire creativity. If you feel you want to write a song off of it then frankly it is my honour that you have chosen my track for that and the backing track has served its purpose :) Hope everyone is keeping well and rocking hard! Apologies for the long winded message!

Day 43
The tips of my fingers are completely gone, my face is frozen in a severely painful position, and my guitar is tragically way out of tune.
Please call for help, as I cannot stop jamming to this track.

One thing that i love about this track is that you can shift between modes as the melody changes. You can play dorian/mixolydian really soft and sensitive in the first part of the track and as the melody gets darker you can shift to the blues scale and natural minor and play more harsh and that creates a really powerful contrast. Love it!!

Technically, this song is not in a natural G minor (G-A-Bb-C-D-Eb-F).  The opening 2 chords are G-minor and C-major.  The C-major triad is C-E-G, which means Eb is not relative to the key of this song.  This is G Dorian (G-A-Bb-C-D-E-F), or F major (F-G-A-Bb-C-D-E) or D minor (D-E-F-G-A-Bb-C).  All of them have the same 7 notes.  Anyway, I figured any guitar nerds out there might like to know they can mess with the F major scale or D minor scale and it would be tonic to this song.

Everytime I want to jam to a backing track, I come back to this one. I can always just flow with everything in this track, it's just perfect.

@niiikolazz Cheers man!! :D well the main section is the chords from "The Great Gig in the Sky": Gm7 and C7. The rest of the track which I wrote mainly uses the chords Gm, D, F, C. I quite often make these add 9 chords too :P hope this helps man!

What's great about this is how it bounces back and forth between the maj 6th and minor 6th, very fun to solo over

I really love this, this kind of stuff is perfect for beginning bass players (like me) to practise creativity and improvisation
