That is a great tip. I don't have an ALICE pack but I do have a belt with the shoulder straps that I've tried out, even though I haven't used it in a while. It's great for a day hike in summer because it open in the back and you stay much cooler.

Hi Bob, that's the way I attach my MOLLE pouches. That's the way the military manuals say how to do it (like you do). I haven't found a better way myself. Good to see another video from you. Good tip Bob!! I use an Etool cover as my FAK ..I often have the problem of getting the straps to snap shut or that they come unsnapped. I liked the old slide clasps we used when I was in..but sadly they would often fall out all together. I like the way you ran the strap I will have to try this. Thanks!

I use paracord for attaching to molle webbing...works fine.
