I stole some paintings from a house in the Shadowlands. When I went back to camp I randomly dropped them on the ground next to my trunk and went to bed. When I woke up in the morning all the paintings had been moved and were setup nice and neatly around our sleeping area. It’s insane the amount of attention put into this game!!!!

I love how resurrections are such a casual thing in dnd. Like yeah if you have the resources or you work quick enough you can bring someone back from the dead no biggie

It's likely the game has options for two scenarios: One where Astarion is killed in this moment by the Tav, and he is aware of it (i.e. direct combat, no stealth kill) and another much less likely option if anything *else* kills Astarion. There's no reason he would die, where he is, but games function weird sometimes and perhaps in early access a rogue npc was finding his was over to Astarion and killing him before the player could meet him. This would warrant the vague 'They killed me' even if it was nigh-impossible for anyone /but/ the PC to kill him. It covers all grounds in the case of a glitch, instead of hunting down every singe glitch or possible outcome to Astarion in this section.

This right here is why people say BG3 has set a new bar. the characters aren't the exact same neutral noc everytime you talk to them. They have personality that exceeds what most other games give theirs a d it goes beyond your standard companions. You can change the entire outcome of the game with a single accidental kill. Miss a god tier item because you didn't loot the one random box in a dungeon.
