Modeled in Siemens UG/NX Modeling and Motion Simulation packages. Gears generated with the gear tool, treads assembled by hand.

Simulation shows straight movement, a right-hand turn, left-hand turn, and a neutral turn.

Of all 3D animations here on YT this shows the differential steering in the most efficient and plausible way. But one flaw is common amongst all of these animations: For steering, they all show that one track stops completly and does not just slow down. But this is one of its
biggest benefits, that you can power both tracks during steering, especially important when you use differantial steering on machines like a bulldozer. Otherwise, very well done!

Now that electric motors for vehicles are in the "main stream" the differential is in trouble, having an electric motor at each drive wheel can achieve the same motion as differential skid steer vehicles like tanks.

I think this is a sherman tank but it has a double track swivel feature. And as far as I remember, Sherman tanks do not have such a feature. But when you think about it, this gearbox really works

The reason why I say it is a Sherman Tank: Track shapes, cylinders, czar gear, and general shape of the gearbox.
