Review:
If I am going to be straightforward about this episode, overall, this one surpassed the pilot episode in pretty much everything. I enjoyed this episode even more! I want to appreciate the production team of the show for being completely faithful to the theme of 80s and 90s by referencing a lot of popular culture during this timeline and to show how much I appreciate this show, I actually took time to breakdown almost every references they've used to contextualize properly the theme of the show:
Typewriter used by Elsa to write the script of the play - commercially sold here in the Philippines in (1874)
Maglalatik (performed by Wendell and Eric) - radicalized in the early 60s in Binan, Laguna and became popular in the academe during 1876
Binakol - is the 80s popular chicken soup originated in Western Visayas; the primordial version that’s considered a hybrid of Tinola and ginataang manok that comes out in the later years.
Bizarre Love Triangle (mentioned by Pepito as a song to play) - song by New Order, released in 1986 and popular amongst teenagers.
"How much punk could pop punk pop if pop punk could pop punk" (written in Elsa's T-shirt) - a nod to the emergence of pop-punk culture during 1970.
Kasaysayan subject - it was mentioned by Pepito that his performance will help him with his grades in this subject; fun fact: Kasaysayan is the academes’ first history subject in the 80s before it transitions to Sibika at Kultura in 90s, then HEKASI in early 2000, and last 2012 this K-12 they changed it into Araling Panlipunan.
Baliwan Comics (The comics that Nando is reading) - is a nod to the Aliwan comics that was popular in 1989 by Hal Santiago, worth 2.50 pesos during that time.
Nanay Rosa and Mang Benny’s argument about the stealing of papaya - Article 681 of the Civil Code of the Philippines states that fruits naturally falling upon adjacent land belong to the owner of said land. So Nanay Rosa actually has the point legally.
FLAMES - popular in High School as a silly manual love matchmaking. FLAMES stands for Friend, Love, Angry, Married, Engaged, and Sweetlovers.
Cross my heart hope to die - 1908 popular catchphrase
Cry of Balintawak - is a nod to the genesis of Katipunan August 1896.
Supremo - is Bonifacio’s infamous alias
1 peso per call 3 minutes per call karatula in Aling Tarsing’s Karinderya - a nod to the popular payphone during 1932 in the Philippines.
“Binigay ko na yung kamay ko gusto mo pang kunin yung braso” - a famous idiomatic expression popularized by Lope K. Santos during 1900s that made him known as Ama ng Bararila ng Wikang Pambansa.

Kudos to Gladys Reyes and Archie Alemania for the excellent chemistry.
Kudos to Mikee and Sef for the well-established love chemistry.
And for the tertiary characters, the love interest of Patrick and the frustrated Andres Bonifacio actor ( I don’t know their names) they are really good actors, I hope they’ll come along in the entire series, new bloods.

Ang perfect ni Sef, Kokoy at Mikee sa role nila. Tapos si Angel Guardian mula ng mapanood ko sa Heartful Cafe ay gumaganda sya lalo sa paningin ko. Pati si Uno este EA dito nakakatuwa ang role.

More 80s memories..
1.) Typewriter.. typically used when making a play or reports in school. Wala pang computer nun.
2.) Cassette recorders / cassette tapes.. lalo na yun iniikot ni Pepito ang tape gamit ang ballpen.
3.) Flames .. kung may natitipuhan kang boy o girl mong classmate sinusubukan mo muna gawin yun kung may chance ka. Katuwaan lang pero minsan nagkatotoo.
4.) Komiks - I remember fondly na nagbibili ako Ng komiks every week para lang nalaman kung ano na mangyayari sa nobelang inaabangan mo.
5.) Sewing machine - usually Singer brand. Yun iniikot mo at pinapadyak mo pa.
7.) Pagtaya sa Jai-Alai - d pa uso ang ending nun 80s

Sadly, obsolete na ang mga ito today. Salamat sa pagbalik tanaw sa nakaraan. I really enjoy this show.

Mikee quintos is perfect choice para sa role ni elsa salamat at Sya Ang nakakuha ng role Yung Kay pepito Alam Naman ng lahat na si sef lang Ang tagapagmana ni Micheal v dahil alaga nya si sef walang ibang choice sya lang talaga at Kay Patric perfect din Ang napili "may egg pie ka ba" haha.
