Southern Boone Middle School considers School Resource Officers

Southern Boone Middle School is considering implementing School Resource officers.

In a statement made by Southern Boone Public Relations officer, Matt Sharp, he stated that they have already implemented "secured entrances, regular safety training for staff, and increased surveillance measures."

With that, there is now also discussion on "exploring options for enhanced safety," said Sharp. This includes school resource officers and efforts to increase social media safety awareness.
