How to Add a White Border to an Instagram Photo: Top 4 Apps

White borders on Instagram photos can offset the shot and give your profile a more artistic look. But trust us: we’ve tried tons of white border photo editors until we’ve found the ones that produce just the right frame. In this video, we’re going to show you guys how to add a white border to your photo on iPhone using Photoshop, Lightroom, Snapseed, and Inshot (InShot can even put a white border on your Instagram video).

Here’s the catch though: when you use those Instagram borders, each of your photos automatically turns into three, if not more: the original, the edited copy, and one or more copies with the various white frames. For someone shooting and posting on the daily, these duplicates will quickly gobble up storage. Holy crap, this is exactly what I've been looking for! Ever since LR Instagram plugin stopped working I've been looking for a good replacement that didn't shrink my landscape ratio images into tiny thumbnails but also preserved the whole image on my main images page. Lightroom for mobile wasn't doing it. Got the aspect ratio on the main page, but the picture was a tiny thumbnail when you clicked on it. Snapseed and it's 'expand' setting is the solution. Thank you so much for this video! Can not believe it took me so long to find a solution!

This doesn't seem to address how to get the exact aspect ratio for Instagram. For portrait, Instagram takes a 4:5 aspect ratio but my photo is in 2:3, so I want to put my 2:3 on a 4:5 border.
