This presentation will be an introduction to the importance of having meaningful logs for your project and how to implement useful analysis of those logs. To demonstrate this, we will be using ELK stack (Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana) with python and will be covering:

- Pythonic approaches/solutions to logging
- Demonstrate the implications of decisions made at log time
- Turn-key approaches to leveraging the ELK stack to self-audit logging functions
- How to get quick wins from logs
- Logging in microservice architecture vs legacy architecture

Special thanks to Eric Moss, an IT Consultant of 20 years, background in systems/application architecture with a current focus on visibility, monitoring and full scope analysis who currently works as a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)/Elasticsearch Consultant.
