My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.

Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.

In order to fulfill this "calling" in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)



Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, "glide" over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and "see" the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

*2:37 Shuk Machne Yehuda isn't the only kosher market, in fact pretty much anything you can buy in Israel is kosher (besides a few known non kosher restaurants).

The tour guests don't look impressed or interested. I assume they're from the Philippines. There, bigger markets exist. Vegetables and fruits they see are very similar to theirs. Sweets also are familiar. The prices are dearer which the guests are not interested in.

1 तो फिर हम क्या कहें? क्या हम पाप ही करते रहें ताकि परमेश्वर का अनुग्रह बढ़ता रहे? 2 निश्चय ही नहीं। हम जो पाप के लिए मर चुके हैं पाप में ही कैसे जियेंगे? 3 या क्या तुम नहीं जानते कि हम, जिन्होंने यीशु मसीह में बपतिस्मा लिया है, उसकी मृत्यु का ही बपतिस्मा लिया है। 4 सो उसकी मृत्यु में बपतिस्मा लेने से हम भी उसके साथ ही गाड़ दिये गये थे ताकि जैसे परमपिता की महिमामय शक्ति के द्वारा यीशु मसीह को मरे हुओं में से जिला दिया गया था, वैसे ही हम भी एक नया जीवन पायें।
5 क्योंकि जब हम उसकी मृत्यु में उसके साथ रहे हैं तो उसके जैसे पुनरुत्थान में भी उसके साथ रहेंगे। 6 हम यह जानते हैं कि हमारा पुराना व्यक्तित्व यीशु के साथ ही क्रूस पर चढ़ा दिया गया था ताकि पाप से भरे हमारे शरीर नष्ट हो जायें। और हम आगे के लिये पाप के दास न बने रहें। 7 क्योंकि जो मर गया वह पाप के बन्धन से छुटकारा पा गया।
8 और क्योंकि हम मसीह के साथ मर गये, सो हमारा विश्वास है कि हम उसी के साथ जियेंगे भी। 9 हम जानते हैं कि मसीह जिसे मरे हुओं में से जीवित किया था अमर है। उस पर मौत का वश कभी नहीं चलेगा। 10 जो मौत वह मरा है, वह सदा के लिए पाप के लिए मरा है किन्तु जो जीवन वह जी रहा है, वह जीवन परमेश्वर के लिए है। 11 इसी तरह तुम अपने लिए भी सोचो कि तुम पाप के लिए मर चुके हो किन्तु यीशु मसीह में परमेश्वर के लिए जीवित हो।
12 इसलिए तुम्हारे नाशवान् शरीरों के ऊपर पाप का वश न चले। ताकि तुम पाप की इच्छाओं पर कभी न चलो। 13 अपने शरीर के अंगों को अधर्म की सेवा के लिए पाप के हवाले न करो बल्कि मरे हुओं में से जी उठने वालों के समान परमेश्वर के हवाले कर दो। और अपने शरीर के अंगों को धार्मिकता की सेवा के साधन के रूप में परमेश्वर के हवाले कर दो। 14 तुम पर पाप का शासन नहीं होगा क्योंकि तुम व्यवस्था के सहारे नहीं जीते हो बल्कि परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह के सहारे जीते हो।
धार्मिकता के सेवक
15 तो हम क्या करें? क्या हम पाप करें? क्योंकि हम व्यवस्था के अधीन नहीं, बल्कि परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह के अधीन जीते हैं। निश्चय ही नहीं। 16 क्या तुम नहीं जानते कि जब तुम किसी की आज्ञा मानने के लिए अपने आप को दास के रूप में उसे सौंपते हो तो तुम दास हो। फिर चाहे तुम पाप के दास बनो, जो तुम्हें मार डालेगा और चाहे आज्ञाकारिता के, जो तुम्हें धार्मिकता की तरफ ले जायेगी। 17 किन्तु प्रभु का धन्यवाद है कि यद्यपि तुम पाप के दास थे, तुमने अपने मन से उन उपदेशों की रीति को माना जो तुम्हें सौंपे गये थे। 18 तुम्हें पापों से छुटकारा मिल गया और तुम धार्मिकता के सेवक बन गए हो। 19 (मैं एक उदाहरण दे रहा हूँ जिसे सभी लोग समझ सकें क्योंकि उसे समझना तुम लोगों के लिए कठिन है।) क्योंकि तुमने अपने शरीर के अंगों को अपवित्रता और व्यवस्था हीनता के आगे उनके दास के रूप में सौंप दिया था जिससे व्यवस्था हीनता पैदा हूई, अब तुम लोग ठीक वैसे ही अपने शरीर के अंगों को दास के रूप में धार्मिकता के हाथों सौंप दो ताकि सम्पूर्ण समर्पण उत्पन्न हो।
20 क्योंकि तुम जब पाप के दास थे तो धार्मिकता की ओर से तुम पर कोई बन्धन नहीं था। 21 और देखो उस समय तुम्हें कैसा फल मिला? जिसके लिए आज तुम शर्मिन्दा हो, जिसका अंतिम परिणाम मृत्यु है। 22 किन्तु अब तुम्हें पाप से छुटकारा मिल चुका है और परमेश्वर के दास बना दिये गये हो तो जो खेती तुम काट रहे हो, तुम्हें परमेश्वर के प्रति सम्पूर्ण समर्पण में ले जायेगी। जिसका अंतिम परिणाम है अनन्त जीवन। 23 क्योंकि पाप का मूल्य तो बस मृत्यु ही है जबकि हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह में अनन्त जीवन, परमेश्वर का सेंतमेतका वरदान है
