You’re learning English though self-study, and you probably own a grammar book. The question is what you’re actually supposed to do with it. In this video, I’m sharing an effective method of improving English grammar that has worked really well for me. Should you learn grammar rules? Can boosting your grammar skills in English be fun? Actually Oxford Practice Grammar & My Grammar Lab (Pearson) are way better than Murphy's In Use books: better and more detailed explanation, more practice, better listening activities

Thank you for this info Olga. By the way, i noticed with regard to tenses that it has some comparison. do we really need to use both in a sentence or is it for comparison purposes only? one of those is simple past vs present perfect tense .thank you!

Which of these book series is best to learn english grammar through self-study?
Not to get through any examination but to write and speak well in english.
1. Cambridge series of Raymond Murphy
2. Destination B1, B2, and C1&C2 by Malcolm Mann and Steve Taylore-Knowles
3. Oxford grammar course by Michael Swan and Catherine Walter

Hi, i found your video helpful and will definitely apply it for long term learning but now i have to take ielts exam in 6 weeks 😢 I need to get advanced grammer my current level is B2-C1.
