Change your Notification Display Mode ⭐ iOS 16 Tips

📱 With iOS 16 you can now customise how Notifications are displayed on the Lock Screen. You can stick with the traditional List of Notifications which fills the screen or opt for something new like the Stack mode that neatly collects all your Notifications in a single pile at the bottom of the Lock Screen or maybe even the Count mode which displays a discreet number of notifications at the bottom of the Lock Screen to make them less distracting while you're working.

I don't understand why when I swipe down (when unlocked) it doesn't show anything, I have to swipe up after I swipe down to show notifications... I missed so many notifications because of that. I hate it

So wait a minute, in iOS 15, I could simply look up to the right of the clock from any app and know that I got notifications and swipe down to view them.

Now, I don’t even know if I have notifications unless I swipe down and then swipe up on the lock screen?

how is this to be viewed as anything but more work?

i've been using the count notification display mode, but new notifications dont get added to the count, instead they pop up separately. is there a way to make it so that any new notifications join the count instead?

Apple: Hey why don't we put all new notifications on the BOTTOM of the screen, directly opposite to where the entire human race normally looks to start reading things?

Seriously Apple....this isn't a difficult concept. I mean, I have to swipe them back UP to the top (ish) of the screen anyway to start reading them. So why not just make them start there?

When I'm actively using the phone I have to swipe down from the TOP of the screen to retrieve my notification. Why should I have to wait for notifications to sail all the way from the TOP to the BOTTOM, where I then have to scroll them back UP to get my list recent notifications. Then I start reading them from....wait for it....the TOP of the list back to the BOTTOM (because that's how humans read things) to get a picture of what happened when.

Bottom to up, back to bottom, swipe down when using phone. Then swipe back up to get a list... it's completely assinine UI design.
