All of you trying to talk about how much more money the dollar was in the past, his dad didn’t come in 1900. Likely came in 70s or 80s, like the majority of Indians in this country (a particular law was passed). A burger was still 50 cents or a dollar. The real number is more like $7-8; my father says the US wouldn’t let you come into the country with more than that. (Almost like they invited immigrants to fail with a rule like that).
