Hey there Cameron. Everyone is talking about you now. Humble, likable, brilliant. All Glory to God as you always say. Congrats.

Really wish the TLM was more available. Taken away from our parish with over 250 souls attending consistently. Pray for all Catholics and a bridge from dividing issues.

While I love the TLM there are PLENTY of faithful, practicing Catholics that attend the NO (mind you, there is no church dogma that prevents changes in liturgy as liturgies have changed and evolved over time, since the beginning of the church- especially amongst the different branches of the church, instituted by the apostles). No need to create divisions within the body of the church (we have enough already with all of our Orthodox brothers and sisters not in communion with Rome and with sedevecantists within our own Western churches). Go to whatever Mass you want- be reverent and remember that you’re there for Christ in the holy Eucharist- not for the liturgy, not for the music, not for the homily. Christ alone.

Well, I don't see these mass conversions here in Germany. The Catholic Church now has less than 20 million members and the trend is very obvious. Which means that less than 25 % of the German population is Catholic now.

I don't know of one parish where you can go to the Latin Mass.

But I don't think that has any positive or negative impact on the number of Catholics in Germany.

I'd have to drive 1.5 hours to get to one

I love the TLM but my parish doesn't offer it and we have a canonical injunction to participate in the life of our local parishes. I'm not saying don't participate in TLM but God put us in these parishes and we should let the Holy Spirit move us where we are, and where we are meant to be.

I will also say that I am not a convert but in the last 5 years I've reached a deeper level of Catholicism that is completely unlike anything I've felt before.

Anyone else on the TLM to Orthodoxy pipeline?

This is unnecessarily unnuanced and disrespectful to those converts who find that their NO compelling and beautiful.

We've seen the same thing in our confessional Lutheran Church.
30% of our congregation are converts from Rome.
They hated the direction Rome has went towards modernity and love the ancient liturgy still found in confessional Lutheran Churches

I take my faith seriously. I pray the Breviary 4 times a day and fast twice a week and while I enjoy the TLM most of my family wouldn’t be Catholic if it weren’t for our Very Reverent Novus Ordo Mass. I also worry about these “Trads” going around who follow the TLM over the Pope. It’s anything but Trad. If you aren’t in union with the Pope you’re not Catholic, by definition. I appreciate the Latin Mass but to follow a worship style (instituted in the Middle Ages and really the current form is from 1962) over the Church is schismatic and harmful. I wouldn’t push the ‘62 Mass so much. Bring people to Christs Church not one Mass they might not find.

Hello, I was curious to know where we know where mortal and veinal(probably spelled wrong) sins are in the Scriptures? If not the Scriptures then where did we get them? It’s a genuine question not a bash on Catholicism!!

The Traditional Mass and taking the faith seriously is exactly what gets our Pope Francis in the curtains all the time. His opinion on folks like you is clear, but what is your opinion on him?
