For me, the adidas 3mc has been, by far, the best shoe I’ve used. I have 6 or 7 pairs of them now in different colorways 😂

Only thing I'd say is heel drop is more important then people realize. Look up the science cause I don't want to go into it or this post would be huge. But the tldr is neutral stance or 0 drops are the most ideal for proper body mechanics. Anyways great vid and I just subscribed. Look forward to other vids.

Just started training parkour and decided to switch to barefoot shoes after doing some research. Landing hurts, but they've been a boost to all the technical activities I get up to at my gym!

Now i understood why the rubber sole of these shoes is the most important part of the shoes for the grip, because the rubber sole against the wall ia sticking when we do a vertical wall run and a flip to cat, it help us to stick the landing when we do a precision jump or vault or flip . For me the best is the invertal knit trainer :) .

I would say if you don’t mind price so much I would highly recommend shoes made by parkour brands because it helps support the community. I would recommend team farangs shoes and the jiyos. If your more out there the are shoes from a Korean brand cakes jiy hos although there website is in Korean so it’s a bit hard to navigate. Shoes not to buy are the tempest high top shoes because there grips sucks (sorry jessie). And the ollo parkour shoes are good but when I had them a few year ago they had terrible durability. I’m not sure if they have improved them now though.

I've always wanted to do crazy shit but never wanted any attention from it, so I'm gonna start doing parkour, definitely not the best sport for not drawing attention, but I can probably find a pretty calm area to do it at.

Watched this because of the 3mcs but just wanted to compliment this very thorough walk through! Agree 100% with almost everything.

The two things you didn't mention that matter to me are price/durability balance and security of supply. I've sworn by Asics Aaron for years (which now seem soon to be discontinued) and I tend to burn through about 3 pairs each year. Which is a VERY durable shoe for me! Currently considering Adidas 3mc for succession

As a skater, I’d say a good portion of skate shoes could be serviceable, the brands etnies, es, and dc have shoes that could fit the criteria rather well. Like the Kalis S from DC, The maranas with Michelin tire insoles from etnies, and the accel slim from és.

So my conclusion after this video is that the 3MC's from adidas are the best for me. And they also look better than some of the other ones

have you guys "Empire Parkour" ever thought about spreading your horizons to other countries in Europe ? Like Portugal. In Portugal there are amazing parkour spots and great freerunners but it lacks parkour gyms. It only has one gym but they teach mostly tricking/breakdancing and the best parkour gym that was running was shut down forever. Just an idea.

super good review, you hit all the points in an unbiased way. only thing id add is the durability and comfort. How long will the shoe last and also how comfy it feels when just walking around are also things to look out for. But yeah i agree about the vans ultra ranges, pretty much everything is awesome but the grips pattern is a little awkward for parkour, it would be great for dirt and hiking scenarios bc if the tire texture, but on slick stuff like rails you want a flat surface. Great for big drops and flips on concrete tho

Would've loved to see some extra recommendations for shoes not already showcased in the examples. Great video otherwise though, helps a bunch!
